Spinnerbait Blade Painting

Hey guys. I've been using OPI nail polish to paint my spinnerbait blades then heat them up with a heat gun. This seems to last for some and not for others. Eventually they just chip away. Anybody have a good way to do this? I love my Terminator spinnerbaits and I don't want to buy those nice looking Nichols Lures baits I keep eyeing.

You might try buying thin brass blades and powder coat them... They must get baked. Thinner the paint the better they spin.
