    seat pedestal

Who can tell me how to get it out of the boat? It won't budge. I know this was a topic of conversation before.

Mine was really tough to get out the first few times.. I took a pipe wrench and a rag (to keep from scratching) to twist it while I pulled

Wiggling back and forth on front pedestal while lifting worked best for me early on. Twisting rear post seems to work best on it. Then I sprayed seat posts and receivers with silicone spray, and they are both much easier to remove now.

I got it out. The pipe wrench worked. It felt like there was "gunk" on the pedestal when I got it out? Carpet glue??? So I sanded down the hole a bit to clean it out. I like the silicon spray idea!

Champion had a similar issue. I used a strap wrench from Lowe's or Sears. I then used a 2" Dewalt flap sander to take a very small amount of material out of the base. If you get too aggressive, you'll end up with too loose a fit.

Question for ones who have experienced the stuck pole:
Did it happen all of a sudden or did you leave the pole in for multiple trips before it got stuck?

My original front post broke. One half of the insert snapped off. These posts are a PITA to get in and out. I prefer the type that screws in. I just leave my front seat in now
