New to the board, sorry if this topic is covered some where else. Has anyone had any experience having a boat shipped/hauled when you have either bought or sold a boat? Living with corona problems!

I think you can go on eBay and put your info in and get bids? Changes all the time. Or is it "uship" may be the site.

USHIP was a great experience for me. You get bids and can get some real deals with licensed carriers to pick up and deliver. I bet there are a few folks that run in and out of Arkansas on a regular basis with boats and trailers. Look it up you can join for free and take bids. You don't need to except any of the bids. They don't get paid till the boat is in your yard and you approve the payment.

How much is something like this ? Cars are cheap but im sure boats are not.
Be careful if you are buying a boat from a dealer and they offer delivery , I went that route, dealer had some retired guy with a pickup no mud flaps , he flat spotted and ruined a tire trailer was all rock chipped cause he had no flaps... it cost me more to fix it than hiring a real delivery service .

My dealer offered me the solution to drop it 3 hours from the dealership - was $1 a mile. I just felt like going for a drive. Dunno what other prices are though.
Note: this was for a bass boat.
I've had several boats that were shipped through Uship with only one problem in the bunch. The buyers dealt with the truckers and I sent pics to the buyers as the boats left the lot. The single issue was when I sent a 30' cruiser to Laredo, TX. The shipper had a great rating, but he previously pulled aluminum fishing boats for a manufacturer. He was supposed to bring a F350 but showed up in a Ram 1500 with the 4.8. He didn't make it out of KY. before the DOT stopped him and escorted him to the closest scale on I-65. He stuck out like a sore thumb! They wouldn't let him continue...
