Question Sound settings on a laptop

I got a new laptop and the sound sounds pitiful on it in comparison to my other one. The new one is a HP 15, the old one was also an HP some windows 8 operating system, I don't remember the specific model. I can't find an equalizer anywhere on the new one, and sound settings gives very few options. Any suggestions?

I'm sorry, I don't know. Do you know any little kids you can ask?

I had that happen to me once. I lived with it for a while but ended up ditching it.

Could be the wrong driver is installed or corrupt in some manner or you just have a bad speaker.

It's when I listen through headphones that it's an issue if that helps.

Sounds like a driver issue then or you maybe don't have the correct device selected when using the headphones. Go to sound devices under settings and try a different application listed.
