    2015 Tracker 175TXW Merc 60 4S - 3 blade to 4 blade?

Asking for a buddy and also posted in the "props" section. Wondering if anyone has gone from a stock 3 blade Merc Black max 10 3/8" x 14" pitch to a 4 blade Merc Spitfire prop?
If so, what pitch and how were the results? Boat is a 2015 Tracker 175TXW with aMerc 60hp 4stroke running at 5900 rpm now with stock prop but would like a little better holeshot and would like to stick to aluminum prop. Thank you in advance.

I almost got the Spitfire (and would have gotten the 14p), instead bought a mint used Trophy Sport 13p. I know you didn't ask but can tell you from personal experience, the 14p Solas Amita4 is not the right prop for our rigs, R's were fine but blows out too easily, probably not enough rake or cup.

Normally you would drop one pitch from 3 to 4 blade, but Mercury says not necessary with the Spitfire. I believe newer Tracker 175's equipped with 60hp come with Spitfire 14p.

A lot of guys running the the 4blade 14p spitfire with good results. Others running the 14p trophy sport with a little bit better performance.
I'll probably be going with the SS 14p trophy sport on my 11' 175txw.

Thanks guys.... Sounds like the 14p would work. I agree and if it were my boat, I would go with the Trophy Sport but some people are just hooked on aluminum.

If it were my boat I'd go with the 14p Powertech nrs3. I have the 17p nrs3 on my 175txw with the 75hp and performance is amazing with near instant holeshot. The nrs3 carries the load far better than the stock Black Max prop and has quite a bit of cup in it.

Correct me if I am wrong but at 13.25" diameter and available from 14p-21p, I suspect the NRS3 is not made in a size that fits the 60hp.

I thought another guy on here was running the nrs3 on his 60hp. Musta been a different Powertech model he had. Brain fart on my part I guess.
