With all the craziness of the virus hot zone 1.5 miles away in Detroit, I have been thinking about my family's safety on the daily. Right now it's all about universal precautions...washing hands, 6 feet rules, stay at home if possible etc. One thing that I have never worried about is locking the doors of my house. I live in a friendly burb but I suspect most of my neighbors lock up. Anyone not feel a need to lock the doors, or am I f'ing crazy, lol.

I don't think anyone will say not locking your doors was smart.... Of course you'll probably get comments from some who live in an alternate reality that will tell you you shouldn't need to....

Lots of folks unemployed now. Can't hurt to lock the door. You never know.
Heck I lock my door during the day in my office at work when I go to lunch. I’d definitely be locking everything right now.

Hate to say it but with this mess you better lock everything down. Many of the people out of work are in the food industry. Drugs are VERY common in the food industry. People on drugs want their drugs and if they run out of money they will try to take yours.
If anyone can get past my pair of 200+ lb mastiffs then a lock isn’t going to stop them either.

Didn't for the last 20 years but lock them now. Also keep handguns next to bed with magazine inserted. Kept them separate in the past. Never know these days.
Why on God’s green earth would you feel the need to keep handguns out....with no magazines???

Here I do. When I lived in East China, MI I didn’t even know where the house key was.
I do not even have a key to my own house, keys stay in everything here. I lock my shed where my four wheelers and zero turn stays.
that makes 2 of us?!?!? gonna have to map that one lol.....i stand corrected i've fished there on the SCR...not quite that far up though to Huron...farthest i've gone is in front of the power plant on the american side. St. Clair, MI. bouncing 1 ounce tubes on the snaggy bottom in 30+ feet caught a couple 5's up there....
