Question 250 HO G2 trouble after winter

First start after winter storage my G2 had a real rough idle. After about 30 seconds it died. Started back up and same thing. Got the boat the short distance from the ramp to the hoist. I thought it might be a battery/voltage issue because my cranking battery was on its last leg at the end of last year.

couple days later I tried to start it and it wouldn’t start. Cranks and would fire, chug chug chug die.

now have new batteries, which I needed anyway. Same story.

unfortunately my dealer is closed for the COVID19 stay at home orders. Any ideas. I was thinking maybe the spark plugs are fouled up. I do recall the winterization mode seeming to take longer than usual when I shut it down last fall. The plugs were originals and from when I got the boat in March of 2016.

any advice on things I can try at home until the dealer is up and running again?

new plugs every year or two best IMHO? start there as you likely need them. ohio has marinas open if close? cranking a FI engine with a weak battery can cause it to over fuel and load up badly also (at least on automotive engines??)
