Solix Encrypt

I am trying to update the software on my Solix G2 but all my cards were auto encrypted and now i can't put any files on them. How do i decrypt the card to i can put the updated firmware on the SD Card?

Encrypt has nothing to do with software updates and the encrypt folder file size is very small. That folder gets automatically put on an unlocked memory card in case you want to use that card for a Chart Select map download.
You can delete the encrypt folder if you want, but it will be put back on the card when you put it in the unit.

When i put my encrypted SD card into my computer, I try and put the extracted firmware files onto the card for upgrade I get an error saying the sdcard is write protected. Remove the card or use another disk.

Just UNLOCK the card, that is what write protected is. Has nothing to do with the encrypt folder. You must have accidently locked it when putting it in a card reader. Just be accurate inserting the card in a reader.

The cards are already in the unlocked position as i just rechecked them.

Looks like the entire card is encrypted not just the folder.

Doesn't have to move much to lock it, double check its position and FORMAT the card.

I just checked again. I have tried using three different cards all the same result. See screenshots to see if you see anything odd.

With all the picture files you have may not have the capacity for the software.
Use a different card that has been FORMATTED so nothing is on the card. The card has to have a memory capacity for all the software files if you must put all of them on the card. JUST need the unit software on the card to update the unit. The first three items on the list are unit software. ONLY copy the files you need for YOUR unit. LOOK at the software version your unit has.

Well I changed my card reader and all is good. Thanks for the help.
