    Gasket guestion

    I have a 2011 proxs model# 1200p73ey. Ser. # 1b865245. I bought a gasket part # 832933006 its the gasket that power head to the mid-section, I was seeing if I supposed to use a sealer when I install it and if so what kind is recommend , I purchased the repair manuel but I couldnt find it, any help would be greatly appreciated

    No sealant is used for the powerhead or adapter plate gaskets.

    Exhaust (Adapter) plate surface should be perfect, and perfectly primed/painted. NO paint on powerhead surfaces (though they too should be perfect).

    Anything inherently bad about spraying them with copper coat spray, Don? I know it doesn't call for it but that stuff is great in auto world.

    I wouldn't- as those gaskets are already coated with a special wax-based coating to promote better sealing AND ease future removal.
