TRANSDUCER ?

Hi all,
I have a Helix 12 gn2 mega DI and SI at the console. Helix gn2 mega DI at the bow. I have used the bow unit with the SI transducer that is mounted on the hull and it works great.
My questions are can I get a SI, DI transducer for the trolling motor so when I use the side imaging I actually see where I am and not looking from the back of the boat.
If so any ideal which transducer I would need?

You cannot connect a SI transducer to a DI unit and get SI. The transducer to do what you want would be included with a Side Imaging unit.

Then why do I get it when I set the unit to use the hull mounted SI transducer. I have the unit networked

Because it is SHARED via Ethernet. The SI unit is processing the SI data and sharing it. It is called Cross-sharing.

So then why couldn't he get another side imaging transducer for trolling motor and the SI imaging unit read that and share that image with the one at the bow? isn't the bow unit simply acting as a display and mirroring what the other one is reading?

Could do that but would not have SI at the transom for the console unit.
