    Ghost Directional Arrow Sticking

If the directional arrow on your Ghost is sticking and not following the direction of travel smoothly, call Lowrance and ask for Part Number 000-15250-001. The item is a "Indicator Assembly Kit" with a Teflon ring. I ordered mine on Friday and it shipped the same day. Lowrance customer service was excellent!

If this is sticking, is this under warranty, or free shipped to those who have one sticking. Mines very jerky.

agreed. I can live with it, but if there was an easy warranty fix I’d probably do it. But yeah, mine does the same thing.

Has anyone heard anything about a new update that makes the servo even more quiet? Guy on another forum claims that lowrance sent him a new update and it made his servo more silent. I don’t see how it would be possible.

Pump the brakes on this one guys. I received my supposedly updated indicator kit today and it appears to be identical to the original. I see no teflon ring like Lucas Stewart discussed on the webinar.

I'll have to investigate this more. If someone else gets additional information please let us know.

Spoke with Lowrance Ghost Technical Support. They believe the kit that I received had the wrong adhesive ring sticker in the box (small black colored sticker).

I'll provide pictures later, but the original dime size black sticker, that separates the indicator magnets, had adhesion problems. Lowrance is sending me several white teflon stickers that stick to the membrane under the directional indicator, between both magnets. If you receive a kit with a Black sticker, don't install it. The adhesive sticker must be WHITE.

Customer service couldn't be better. I spoke with them on the phone and they called my cell TWICE for some follow up information.

What are the signs that of this? Mine seems to work fine. Arrow points the direction I’m going. What do the rest of your do?

The indicator wont move fluidly with the motor. The indicator will lag behind the position of the motor and will be jerky, when making turns.

The sticker is supposed to act as a smooth bearing between the magnet on the indicator, and the magnet on the steering motor. The adhesive comes off the sticker as the motor heats up, which cause the surface to become sticky, so the indicator doesn't move smoothly.

The updated sticker (bearing) is Teflon, with a higher temperature adhesive applied to it. The update ensures the magnets slide easily.

What exactly does lowrance send. The whole indicator kit or just the one tiny little piece of plastic

Looks like indicator just pops out. Looks like it has 3 clips holding it in
