Helix 10 GN3 Bow Heading Issues

I have two Helix 12 MSI GPS G3N units on my bass boat. One on the bow and one at the console. They are linked with a Ethernet cable. My external heading/gps sensor is mounted at the bow (see photo below) and plugged into the bow unit. My console unit is has connected to an external AS GRP receiver that is mounted at the transom. When i'm at the front of the boat fishing and on the trolling motor moving in a direction the heading line is correct but the boat icon is way off even 180 at times from the direction I'm heading in. See attached pic. Please help!

Assuming the antenna is not faulty--- does the position curser ever rotate?

What procedure was used to determine that location is suitable for that antenna?

Yes it does rotate. The antenna was installed by a Phoenix dealer.

The Phoenix dealer should fix it so it works properly.

I can't tell in the picture what the Chart Orientation is set to or what position the screen is to figure out how much of an error is shown.

Try this, be prepared to remove the mount screws when on the water with the trolling motor deployed. When it screws up, remove the screws and hold the antenna about 2' above the deck with it facing the correct way and see if it makes any difference. Duplicate what you were doing when it screwed up.

I would say 80% if the heading sensor are mounted in that same location. 99% of the ones that are never have an issue. What happens is when the trolling motor is up, the heading will actually spin 180 out. You can see this happen if your graph is on after you lift the trolling motor. Obviously cause be the motors magnet. When you deploy the motor the sensor then corrects itself. Except when the sensor gets stuck or the magnet wrecks the sensor. Definitely try what Wayne said, also just try tapping the sensor, I had to do this from time to time with one of my boats. If neither works sensor is probably bad

I powered up my bow unit while sitting here in the garage to test the boat icon/cursor. I then unscrewed the heading sensor and rotated to various positions. Is it possible the arrow printed on the puck of off? It seems that way to me based on my garage test.
