It would help to know set-up, prop, jackplate, etc.

I have the same setup as you, except with a 24p fury. I found that I have run my jack plate at 8, not sure what that would
be on your setup. Any higher I lose speed, any lower I start walking. Trimmed all the way up. I Have hit low 70s, but I’m still not completely broke in and I haven’t really had a good calm day to see what my top speed is. My state
also closed the fishing season, so might be a bit before i can get it completely dialed in.

Chine walk is a center of gravity issue, so it's somewhere in your setup. Likely motor height. Typically a motor mounted too low contributes to chine walk, but too high could in rarer instances.

[Some hulls are prone to chine walk regardless of setup (looking at you Triton) but that would not be the case for you as the Z series NVT hull is not prone to chine walk.]

When you are running WOT at 64-65, how far up are you trimmed? I assume you tried trimming down and it didn't fix it?

It might be helpful to have someone else that is a z20/z8 owner try driving your boat to see if they can help you

I have a 2019 Z19 and i have to trim slowly because it will walk to beat the band. I had a 1997 procraft 180 and very seldom would it walk and if it did it was ever so slight, but my Z19 is unbelievable. The fast i have had it was 66.4 and i still have trim to go yet. I am turning right around 6000 RPM's and if i remember i was at 3 1/2 PTP height. I am new to the walk and have been told i just need seat time and i will figure it out. I am still learning.

He mentioned a 25p fury.. Which seems a little stiff on that combo. Curious on your RPMs at your speeds.

I have been up to about 62 at 5200 -5300 rpms but have not had smooth enough water to go any faster yet. Are you throwing a 3 or 4 ft rooster tail at 66mph. If I
can get to 66mph I will be happy,

I am not really sure of that. I need to get someone to watch while i run. It can be a handful so i have my eyes forward. From what i have seen when i was looking back now not at 66 but in mid to upper 50's i really don't see any tail. I will try and do some looking this weekend when out.
