He was trying to get 700% profit. Price gouging! Against the law.

he was marking them up 700% and he had no problem getting pallets of masks that came from Canada. A doctor who saw his stash said he had enough to equip a whole hospital

That's when he tried selling it, not when buying it. No law that I know of saying you can't buy in such quantities is all I'm saying.

I see what you are replying.
Not in the article, just reading between the lines. I would assume the doctor reported the price gouging. And while the FBI was investigating, it gives the outcome. Since people coughing on people have been getting arrested.
So, they know his intent to try and profit during crisis. And try and get the stuff where needed.
Again, that is only my thought, not in the article.
But I get what you are asking. If he was only stockpiling for himself, not illegal. But he proved that not to be the case with the 700% price hight. My opinion.

Yes I agree and the title of the article talks about hoarding.

Hoarding for your self is one thing, trying to make a 700% profit is another, especially after the President warned people they wold be arrested and prosecuted .maybe you might want to change your sig,

I don't know if the AG did it or Executive Order, but I saw somewhere where it is illegal to hoard medical supplies now. It didn't mention what hoarding was, can you have 100 masks but not 101? IDK.

The difference is need vs want, they need these medical items, jackhammers are a want that won't cost you your life.
