Fulton boat trailer... 2000 model

Just a quick question... what is this reservoir for on my trailer???? It says "fill to bottom of plug" on the cap and to not over fill it.... is it for brake fluid because my trailer is a tandem axle model with surge brakes

Yes, for your plunger brakes. When you stop your vehicle the front neck of your trailer then goes inward and creates pressure on a balloon of fluid inside a sliding aluminum sleeve and that creates the pressure that then causes your calipers on your rear tires to go inward. Mine has not worked in years. If your brakes work, that's awesome.
