    Gel Coat Damage

I have attached a picture of my boat after it was wet sanded not long ago. I haven't found any areas that felt noticeably "rough", but you can see in the picture the color difference from where the stickers were compared to the rest. You can also see some "waveyness" or orange peel type look on the top cap towards the front of the boat.

Does it appear that the gel coat is too far gone or would it be worth another attempt at wet sanding to "get it right"?

The sun will turn gel a different shade than it was original. Behind the stickers...the sun didn’t get to it. Is the waviness you feel where the stickers were..? If it is that would be normal too.

The “waviness” is all on the center of the top cap in between the light blue pinstriping. That is the only place I really see any of the waviness or cloudiness. The rest of the upper portions just show the faded color.
