I really wanted to but it looks to be impossible without pulling the tank the way the sump area is designed...……..I may be wrong and someone will be along shortly to tell us how

I installed one in a triton for a guy and he loves it.
You will definitely need to pull the tank on a bullet to do it though.

Put one in my xrs. Was tired of bumping my head on power poles and have back trouble that makes it difficult to bend down and put the plug in. Love it.

Does the T&H remote valve fit into the existing drain plug hole? I see from the photo there is a screw on each side to hold it in once installed.

Where did you put the remote lever at?

I've thought about one myself. I’ve had one of the stock plugs remove itself only once in the year I’ve had it but getting tired of wishing I had a helmet on every time I bend down and have to dodge the jackplate and power poles.

I mounted the lever on the top plate on the jackplate ext , I am sure the cable might not last as long due to getting wet all the time it's easy enough to change down the line , cheap part too.

AV, Can you post a picture of how you mounted the switch and how you ran the cable?

I am very interested as well, crawling under the boat with a 14 inch jack plate sucks, plus I noticed the regular plug can be pulled out rather easily.

so I used a fish tape (snake) up through the drain plug hole ,there is a small space to the rear of the tank you can grab the snake and pull it, before you do that sawzal the brass drain plug housing fold it in to pull it out. I then fished the cable out though the hole that was there already for the total scan ducer , looped it right to the lever and put it at an angle my lazy arse can reach with no effort.
