Ordinarily a software release is one file. For the echomaps the name is usually something like echoMAPwithSDCard.exe.
This is downloaded to the computer. Double clicking on that file will run it.
When it runs it will create a software update SD card.

That update card will have one folder named Garmin. Inside that folder will be another folder named updates and a file named GUPDATE.GCD
Inside the updates folder will be numerous files with names like 0.dat, 1.dat, 2.dat....... and possibly some with other type names.

If the card you have created was not created by the Garmin .exe file you need to be 100% certain that you have all the files in all the right places. If you have enough of them for the unit to think it has a valid update card and some of the files are missing there is a really good chance you will brick your unit. The card you have been using is not set up properly. You are lucky that the update process did not start.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

Found the solution to the Forced Update problem. I switched sd cards and Forced Update and the process worked fine. Previously, I only had one sd card and I was using it for Active Captain also, then deleting the Active Captain stuff, formatting the card and copying the update files. The cards have IDs that don’t change when you format. The head unit may have been looking at that (like Navionics cards do). I took the 64 gb sd card from my GoPro, formatted it to Fat32, copied the update files, then used it to update and things went fine.

Thanks for the response. I have a Mac and the process for creating the sd card is slightly different. The .exe file that you download from Garmin is a ZIP file with an executable that unzips it and copies it to the sd card. When you download a ZIP file on a Mac, it automatically unzips it for you and copies it to your downloads folder. It creates a folder called Garmin with the two files in it. You simply copy the Garmin folder to your properly formatted sd card (Fat32). In the end whether created through Windows or Mac, the update card is the same. I was able to solve my update problem by using a different sd card.

I guess I am in the same oddball camp as you. I finally got up to the lake today and fired up all of the electronics on the boat as I was curious as to what my LS software was. Turns out my livescope is 2.0 as originally purchased from Brian back in June 2018. I wasn't sure if it was going to be 2.0 or 2.1 but given I pre-ordered it from Brian before he received his first units, 2.0 makes sense. I intentionally never updated my LS since installing it as the screen was always free from all the array and ghost tree images I often see posted and it scared me away. Since I could see even 1/16 jig well out in front of the boat, I had no reason to update it. My other units are also well behind as the 93+'s are all 8.3 and the 7610sxv is 15.0 so I guess you can say I am not much for change. To get the perspective mode, I guess I will just do as some others did and purchase a 2nd LS unit and run both LS views at once so I can keep my current LS at the 2.0 version.

Thanks for posting but what am I supposed to be looking for to like or dislike? Yes I can see your bait in the first video, yes I see the school of bait in the 2nd video. Do you have any screenshots or videos of before you did the rollback for us to compare to?
I do see the starburst in your video but it appears to be less than mine. Also could you please post your settings and water conditions, just trying to get a more complete understanding of what your experiencing. Thanks!

I want to double that, I would need V2.20 for an Echomap Ultra 122sv and GLS 10 as well.

I'd be happy to help, but I only have it for the GPSMAP series units. I run my Livescope on a GPSMAP 1242xsv.

Thanks, SkippyJack, there are two files there. Is the one you refferenced the correct one(http://www.bbcboards.net/showthread....1#post10984190)? I hope so because I get an error trying to download the other one(https://www.dropbox.com/s/507ingmc6w...10300.exe?dl=0).
    Thanks Again

Sorry I don't know if it is, it works for the 93sv+

Looking at Garmins Updates and Downloads page the latest update covers most units including the 93sv+ and the EM Ultra 122sv.
I think the older version would be just the same.

This page has lists all the units for the latest update. https://www8.garmin.com/support/down...ls.jsp?id=4749

Thanks SkippyJack! Would be nice though if someone here could confirm that it is the correct update for the EM Ultra 122sv...don‘t want to mess things up with a wrong update...

Assuming this works, does one lose the on screen settings adjustments?
