    1996 Sprint 255 aerator problem

    I purchased this boat Saturday and so far I'm very pleased. The only problem I'm having is with the aerator pump for the live wells. The one that came on the boat wasnt pumping although it was working. I bought another one with the same result. I've tried reversing the wiring to make sure it wasnt wires backwards but that didnt help either. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

    I haven't had any problems like that on my 207 but some have on different rigs and would have to put the engine in reverse to get it to start pumping. Only thing I can figure is to make sure the intake to the pump is below the waterline out side of the rig and no obstructions....

    Been trying to figure it out all day. I have found that if I shoot water down the overflow holes that only a trickle come out at the stern.
