Thumbs down SC Lakes and Rivers

So the governor just shut down all public access to our lakes and rivers based on the loaded crowds this past weekend, but everyone can still pack in Lowe’s and Walmart like sardines.

Found this out this morning trying to use my normal ramp. Luckily I was able to cross the Dam and use the GA side today. Can't say we didn't see this coming.

Yeah I saw that. But the ramps are definitely not closed. Friday I was helping (watching from a distance) my 71 year old father in law put his wave runner in when a pontoon pulls up with 5 people. They tie up to the dock sitting there for a bit before two more people from the parking lot hop on. 7 people in that boat. Sunday I was fishing a marina and 7 20 somethings were strolling down a dock together before getting on a boat.

Ohio’s Gov. threatening to do the same. It’s always the dumb SOB’s that have to ruin it for everyone.

I see commercial fishermen still get to use the boat ramps. Should be everybody use ramps or nobody.

People packing on pontoons and cruisers. Tying up together like normal summer weekends on the lake. People were told to avoid these type of occurrences and they don’t listen so the state shut them down.

Have been on Wylie for last 7 out of 10 days. Pontoon boats, wake boats loaded with people. If your gonna close it for the public then close it down to all lake traffic including private residence. Joe public (me) by myself is sidelined yet Joe Party who lives on the lake gets his neighborhood together on his pontoon boat at will. This sends a mixed signal and while it may cut down on the number of vessels on the lake I don't see it eliminating the crowded vessels.
