    Patoka?

I've been working from home going on two weeks now and haven't been over by the lake since the 21st, I had planned to however it didn't work out. What is the status at this point? Ramps? Restroom? I see lots of boats going by our house but haven't spoken to anyone that has actually been over there in the last few days.

I was there a week ago yesterday ramps were open. I got my launch sticker the lady at the office said lake is open. There wasn't anyone manning the gate at entrance. I went to the ramps inside the park and South Lick Fork. Lake is up but it looked good. I didn't get to fish as it was a Sunday drive with the wife.

Was there Saturday to mainly breaking in my motor. The parking lot had about 25-30 vehicles at Newton South Ramp. Water was stained and in the 50’s. I did not hear anyone saying they caught them that I talked too. I did notice a bunch of trees cut down and left as lay downs. It caught me by surprise since I had not read anything about it but I don't always keep up fishing on Patoka. Good luck.

I noticed the trees cut down too. i've seen them in Painter, olinger and along the main lake in places. I assume its the dnr doing it because it looked like a lot of work for one dedicated crappie fisherman.

Not just ash, seen oak and a few others basically anything next to shore line that would help block erosion and double as habitat. Was there a week ago when water was 54, was there yesterday (yes windy as hell) and water was around 62-64. Still caught a couple in the murky water..

Just got back. Water at Osborn is stained and 57-60. Caught 3 keepers and a few dinks. Fishing doesn't seem very good to me, considering the conditions. The wipers are biting though, in case you have any spinnerbaits you really want to destroy.

^^^Here is some good info on what they are doing to improve habitat around the lake.

Had 21 crappie and 5 bass on Saturday. Water temp was anywhere from 51-58 depending on clarity. The winds were howling!

Catching mostly dinks, but finding a keeper occasionally.

It hit like a 3lb bass, but then it turned into a bad episode of swamp people for the next ten minutes.
