mega DI having problem locking in on bottom

Any clue why my helix 9 g2n mega di(ducer mounted to trolling motor) take a hour to finally give a depth readout? I can put bottom range on 15 ft and see a good definition of bottom and guess the depth but would love to set on auto. Also the 2D won’t display anything either. After about a hour, I finally have a depth readout and go to auto then. 2D works by then as well. Really got bad after I did a update 3 weeks ago. If I move to next spot it takes another hour. I tried to stop sonar and it worked, for about 15 min then lost again. This thing is getting on my nerves. Thanks for any help.

If cleaning the transducer face doesn't fix it, contact Humminbird Customer Service, you probably have a weak transducer.
