    97’ Yamaha pro v 200 rattling

    My motor has always ran like a top, that being said the other day I had her out and noticed a clanging/rattling kind of noise coming from the motor while I was idling. (Under the cowl). When I gave a little gas with the hot foot it stopped. Running down the lake at 4000 rpm’s and no noise. Just during low idle. I took the cowl off at the marina and nothing stood out as being loose or out of place. Other than the noise the motor is performing as usual. Any thoughts? Should I do a compression check? TIA

    well i u understand this could be multiple things. I was hoping someone would have some sort of idea. I guess that is not the case. Guess I’ll just take it to the shop

    The latch catch’s might need tightened some. I had one rattle until I fixed that
