Linking 2 units

Do I need an lss 2 box if I am only connecting 2 carbon units to share waypoints?

Ethernet cable between the two units to share waypoints. Run the Ethernet cable from the yellow
port on the back of one unit to the other yellow port on the back of the other unit. Entering a
waypoint on one unit will transfer a like waypoint to the other unit.
