Was it like this? From what I remember it was like a thin black felt material. I too have been trying to find some to replace the funky insulation I put under the lids of my RT.

It was like a thin piece of black foam/rubber material.

Mine is exactly as wishiwasfishin2 is explaining and mine is in terrible condition. The underside of the lids of post #3 looks like the carpet that you would use on the runners for your trailer buncks and I think he has something there. I think I'll give that a try. thanks for all who responded.
