    NH stay at home order

    Well this kinda sucks.
Has anyone heard if it's still ok to use boat ramps ?
I'm thinking it still is considering there leaving state parks open.
Was thinking of going to Canobie tomorrow.

Yea you can still fish. It's a 'stay at home' order, not a 'shelter in place' order. I would say to avoid making non-essential stops, but you wouldn't be able to anyway as this will now shut down all non-essential businesses I believe.

I think it falls under the "exercise outside" clause:)

Planning on hitting a southern tier fishery today with my son. Nashua River, Horseshoe, Massabesic...? Pawtuckaway is probably still as cold as balls.
Canobie is a carry-in only launch?
Water temp at Gregg in Antrim was 42 late yesterday... 1 on a JB in 1.5 hours.

I would check Pawtuckaways water level before I worried about water temp.

My point! I work with a women who owns a house there and she told me last week it was still down. Unfortunately for her she teaches at the hospital and classes have been canceled so I won’t see her for awhile.

I had F&G in my shop today and they said it was fine to go and fish just don't expect anything for facilities to be open at the ramps.

Depending on what you have for a boat you may. A few years ago I was able to get my 17' ranger in. Followed another guy in a tin boat down the 6 ft wide channel to get to deeper water using the trolling motor. Actually had one of my best days ever there that day.

    Thanks. Thats good to know.
My nitro is still in storage. I'm going out in my pelican.
Unfortunately I had brakes put on my truck a couple days ago and one at the rear is is dragging. Probably should have taken it for a ride when I got it back.
Going to hit otarnic pond tomorrow because it's only a couple miles.
Good luck guys. Hope you get out there ...

Ah, makes sense they haven't got Paw filled (should be iced over in a normal year prolly), thanks for the reminder Phil. We ended up going to Bennington Bogs/Powdermill Pond. Water temp in the river was 42 and super clear. Fished some upriver backwaters above the ramp, looking for warmer water - found 50 in the back of the first one on the right. Got a couple 12" larrys and two picks on the chatterbait. Golden shiners, 4"-7", were schooled up in 2' (must be spawning) - the school easily had 2000, and maybe 5000 individuals. Ran down bottom - no love there. Got a little cool when the sun hit the trees.

This weather has them all over the place. Hit Halfmoon in Hancock today, got there at 7:30 and as we drove over the bridge, we saw a big blow-up in the channel. Took awhile to get loaded in and down there, we could see the bass blowing up schools of bait. Water was 42 in the main lake and 44 in the channel. We got three bass in just a few minutes, then I missed three on three consent casts when I moved to a bigger swimbait...then nothing. The bite shut off as soon as the clouds moved in and we didn't catch anymore bass the rest of the day.

Went to Otarnic. Fished 9:30 to 4:30 .
I got 1 small lg and 1 giant pickerel. Both on a jerk bait
The water temp was 46-49. Wasn't much going on.
Only seen a half dozen perch and a couple bluegill.

Headed over to Pleasant in Francestown for 4 hrs in the afternoon. Took me half of that to realize I couldn't force feed them a jerkbait, shallow or deep. Switched over to a Silver Buddy and got seven, to 3# (4 were smallies - surprising ratio for there!). Lost a bigger one under the boat 'cause I was fuxxing with the net instead of fighting the fish Temp was 43. Never tried shallow water, everything was deeper than 8'.
