    Rush Run bass fishing

Wife and I got out to Rush Run lake for a couple hours yesterday evening. Our first choice was the GMR but the gates were closed, so Rush Run was our second choice. I haven't been there for many years so I thought it would be nice to fish it again. We get there and the lake was PACKED. There was a few boats and kayaks, and many people fishing from the bank. That is kinda what I expected with the awesome weather and this virus thing going around. We did catch a some bass in the two hours we had to fish but all of them were very small. Most of them were 6-10" and one was close to 12". They were up shallow in the flooded grass and we caught them on a squarebill crankbait. I even caught a couple waking the bait over the grass. It was a fun night goofing off on the lake with my wife and dog verses sitting at home. I just wish we could have found one decent bass.

Man, am I ready to get out and fish more!

It's a fun place to fish for sure but like you said the quality of fish there should be better IMO. Don't know why it's full of so many little ones.

That was the first time I have been there in a couple years. I might have to try again sometime this spring.

OMC - I used to night fish over there about 15years ago with the good ole black light and fluorescent line. Man you sure can hit a lot of stumps at night on that place!

200xp - LOL, I gave up night fishing years ago.
