Mine is tied to my USAA automobile policy, mine is however a fifth wheel. I have had them 20 plus years. No claims, so I can't give first hand on handling issues, they are really good at collecting my money though.

I'll be calling USAA for a quote for I have them for auto and home as well. But I'm hoping to get 2 to 3 quotes from other companies as well.

I would check with your car, or homeowners ins to see if they bundle for savings

If I remember correctly USAA subs rv insurance out to another company. Back when I had my travel trailer and it ended up getting stolen I had zero issues with the claim. USAA has great customer service all the way around. I am interested in other options as well though since I will probably be picking up a 5th wheel later this year or early next year.

Make sure you have coverage for pests/rodents.
Somehow a red squirrel got into my 5th wheel and chewed through my leather couch and made a nest with the stuffing, Lots of interior damage. Called the insurance company, they had me take a ton of photos, All 4 corners of rig interior and a video of it, they then said sorry no coverage for pests and they now have documentation for future reference. I HATE INSURANCE COMPANIES.
