    no depth numbers elite ti2

I just tried out my new elite ti2 and the image is fine, but the depth shows 3 dashes or dots, no numbers. I cursor marked a fish and the depth of the fish showed up and the water depth popped up in a grey box in the bottom left corner.
So it is reading just not showing the depth on the overlay.
    Any help?

How did you set the depth overlay? There are a couple choices I do believe, make sure you have the right one selected for the overlay.

I think the depth overlay came already showing when I set them up. There was a post about making sure things were on local and this unit, rather than local.
I think it was set global. But I won't be able to confirm until I get it on the water again.

Or it was set to the wrong "channel" for local. I set the the depth "channel" to the same as the temperature.
Would the depth read on a concrete floor of my garage?

Depth will not read unless it is in water. If you had a tank of water the transducer was sitting in on your garage floor it may read, but it needs water.
