    New Z21 Pro question

    I am ordering a new Z21.
I'm trying to decide on the 52inch trolling motor shaft or the 45.
I have had a 45inch for many years on my current boat and it has been fine, but I wonder if any of you that have had both have a good reason to go with the 52.

Any other smart rigging tips would be appreciated also!!!

If you have fished with a 45" and no problems you still will not have any problems. The only reason I can think of to going with a longer shaft is fishing places that have bigger/taller wave action and creating your prop to come out of the water.
If you are going to fish the same lakes or rivers you have been, the 45" will be fine.

I use to get the longer shafts on my Z9s, just don't feel like I needed it anymore. The 45s do just fine on the new Zs IMO.

I ordered my brand new Z 21 pro package with the 52 for many years I had the 45 but this time around I up graded to the 52 and the reason I mostly did it was not because I needed it I did it for the value when I trade or sell the boat allot of guys run big water all the time meaning big waves then they can use the 52 good luck in your decision but if your anything like me and your going for the biggest and baddest nitro get all the upgrades there diffinitly with the money and comfort which the Z 21 is good luck

Put a 45" Ultrex on my Z21 and it is fine. The factory length Minn Kota Fortrex that comes standard is 42 inches, I think.
