    Serial # 2B738321
Just a quick question, what are guys seeing there dealers set there W.O.T at?? I see these motors say 5600 to 6200 in the specs, that's a wide range.. Why would it vary so much? Maybe I just read it wrong, Thanks.....

The throttle needs to be set at 100%

The rpms will be detrmined by Prop type and pitch vs boat setup.. Seems the V8 needs to be very close to max rpms at optimum WOT.

I recommend that once the throttle is confirmed to be reaching 100%, the engine be propped to achieve 6050-6200 @ WOT.

I had a bad throttle cable on my Merc 4 250, was only getting 5800 rpm because there was slip at the motor end connector.
