Just saw this model on thier website....any idea on basic costs? I'm looking to downside and this looks good depending on price.
Also they don't show the nationwide dealer nertwork....our "local" dealer only handles salt water models.

I think Bentz is patterning his 18' lineups like he did his Tritons. The 18 S is the Triton TRX 179 equivalent, 18 SS is TRX 189 and the 18 GTS IS TRX 18. I recently priced the 18
GTS, it was slightly higher in cost than the equally equipped TRX 18 (appx $1500). The base line boat cost was low/mid forties. I didn't price the other models but I bet they are very close in price to their Triton distant cousins. If the other Caymas models are like wise similar in cost, I'm guessing the 18 S is low to mid $30's.
If the 18 GTS with a 175 cost more than a 18 TRX with a 200 I believe I would stick with the Triton.

I would really have to look both boats over from top to bottom. It’s difficult for me to trade and give up HP and pay more for a equally rigged out boat with a smaller motor.

For comparison purposes I gave the price difference ($1500) for both boats rigged the same with 175's since the Caymas isn't rated 200. I compared apples to apples rigging wise figuring if the rigging cost is the same the difference would be the boat price. Does that make sense? So a Triton equipped with the 200 would be about 3 hundred more than the Caymas. I was just trying to give the OP a slighted educated guess as to what a 18 S might cost, slightly educated as I said. You can't really tell anything from the Caymas web site, it is still a work in progress I believe.
I really like the 18s. Would be perfect for the water I fish since speed isn't really a factor as long as it doesn't feel underpowered. If I go back to glass I'd look heavily at this exact boat and choose it over the Triton cousin for the popular reason here on BBC.

I would think with a 175 on that hull speed would not be a problem. :)

Really interested to see how the 18 gts performs with the 175 once people start getting into that boat.
