    Sent me the same one.
First that special Governor of NM closed there ramps-- now Valverde county.
Look at the wording...........IMO some Valverde politician made the call.. Lake Meredith is the only other lake in Texas ran by the Nat'l park service (still open).. Did you see the video a few days ago the Amistad NPS put out promoting fishing ? I can't find it now..
I would love to hear just one sound way I could contract or spread this virus by unloading/loading my boat and go fishing... IT IS CRAZY

Seems stupid to me, but I am stupid, so...Not sure how you can contract this crap while being in the middle of a lake with the nearest boat several hundred yards away at most.

Some ******* on Facebook posted a TPWD official announcement with a link saying that all lakes were to be closed until June 1st. When you click on the link to read the entire article, it goes to a “gotcha bullchit, you’ve been pranked” thing. Made me stroke for a bit.

Amistad was shut down due to the lock down here in Del Rio and Val Verde County. This is the only reason.

So it was the county who closed it.
Was not aware Del Rio was under "Lock Down"
Sounds a little drastic for one confirmed case.

The basis of that decision was made after Val Verde County's announcement. Val Verde County Judge Lewis Owens issued an Executive Order last night declaring the coronavirus to be a local disaster and ordering individuals living within the county to shelter at their residences until 11:59 p.m. on April 3, 2020.

Fished Amistad this past Friday and Saturday. Have to say, the bass fishing was better then it had been in years. Hopefully they open it back up soon.

Dad was down there yesterday picking up his boat from Two Guys. Said Binky told him that some guy had crashed through the barriers blocking off Rough Canyon ramp. Law enforcement was parked beside his truck and trailer in the parking lot waiting for him to come back in.

    Bet that got interesting..
No doubt who won that squabble. Doubt they want to take that to court, since the county judge is who ordered it shut down....

I was wondering how in the hell a county judge can shut it down?
