Really grateful for your support. I got word today that it's unlikely the suspension of permits will last until the end of May. So the people in charge are hearing us.

Dear Permit Holder and Event Organizers,

Beginning June 1, 2020, all North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission Weigh-In, Special Use, and L15 permits will be valid and allowable activities can continue as described in the specific permit. However, it is expected that all local, state, or federal recommendations or orders associated with social distancing and mass gatherings will be followed.

We will continue to monitor conditions associated with Covid-19 and the public’s adherence to related recommendations and orders. Future cancellations of permits may occur if conditions or behaviors warrant such a response.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these unusual times. Most Wildlife Commission-managed Boating Access Areas are open at this time; however, continue to check our website (ncwildlife.org/Boating/Where-to-Boat) for closures related to weather damage, repair/renovation, or requests from a cooperator.

Once again, we appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and cooperation while we all do our part to keep everyone safe during these challenging times.

Also, all recently submitted or new permits will be reviewed and processed as quickly as possible.
