    Here We Go Again

    Most of our lakes never got back to normal. Now we have flooding again. Looks like the Corps is making this the new normal.

    Poor Gibson was at .26 above last Saturday now almost 21' above..
    But GRDA made damn sure Grand & Hudson is below 7'

    Its percentage of flood pool that matters, but to an extent I think the corp has really gotten bad over the past few years. The river has plenty of capacity below Gibson and they jack around letting the water out.

    151k going through Kerr. I think they like to keep it below 220k but can’t remember. Either way yes the river can handle a lot more but I don’t know what the Mississippi is doing. I’m sure they are looking at a bigger picture... or atleast I hope they are. They will have Gibson back to 2-3’ high in two weeks of the rains subside. Poor lake gets hammered with fluctuations. It’s amazing it’s as good as it is. Love that lake
