    Steez AGS 7’6 h vs NRX 894

Which is better as a bottom contact rod for 3/8 to 1/2 oz jigs.

    Don’t know. I don’t have a 7’6” so I won’t comment

    I just think the 75 is a better comparison to a 894

there is also a new St Croix out

Yes especially for 3/8 to 1/2 oz jigs. No doubt the Steez AGS 75MH/H Bottom Contact is the rod I would pick. If you were doing some light punching in that 3/4 to 1 oz. range or fishing a lot of 1 oz C-rigs, 1 oz. FB jigs, etc. then I could see going with the 76H. The 76H is a great rod indeed, and there is a like new demo available at The Tackle Trap now. The Bottom Contact is available for pre-order only through TT and due to the current situation, the re-stock has been delayed a little bit. We are still hopeful these will be back in stock soon, if they aren't all pre-sold by the time they arrive.

All things considered, I'd take the Bottom Contact over the NRX without a doubt. The NRX is a fantastic rod, light, sensitive, etc. but the Bottom Contact is easily as sensitive, better built, balances better, and personally I like the way it looks better though that doesn't matter to a lot of folks.
