200 Pro XS 4.6 Question

I ordered a Mercury Vessel View Mobile unit for my 200 Pro XS V8 outboard and need to know where the 10 pin connector is located on my outboard. Also what needs to be removed to access it and connect the Vessel View unit.

My serial number is in my sig. below.

Look for the yellow terminator. On the ProXS 150 it was on the left side. Unplug the yellow terminator and plug the main loom into that port. Take the yellow terminator into the other connector that breaks off the main wire loom of the vessel view. Use zip ties to get it out of the way of any moving parts and you're done. Love mine, helped a lot for break in hours plus the true RPM and fuel useage is what I rely on the most.

Thank for your response. There are a lot of plastic pieces on each side along with the front and rear of the 4.6 V8 engines. So far I have not seen the yellow connector you referenced.

Boat is at a marina so will go there tomorrow and try again to locate the yellow connector.

Perhaps someone with a 4.6 V8 four stroke can chime in or better yet show a picture of connector location.

I have a 250 PRO XS 4S and my terminator was located on the very back of the motor behind a snap off cover that has Specs on it. Mine was not yellow but I would call Purple or Lavender. All the other instructions about removing and replacing the terminator from the engine harness to the Vessel View Mobile Mobile are correct. I hope this helps.

EDIT: Thanks to CAMAS1 I installed the unit today based on his helpful information. The other engines have the terminator module in entirely different locations.

I recommend leaving the plug connector OFF of it's keeper, which allows you to bring the unit up and over the STB side of the engine and secure it to the STB side (up high) for better reception.

Thank you Don, I did have some trouble maintaining the connection today. Will reroute per your recommendations.

I had connection issues so I ran the blue data cable to the dash and mounted the unit under the dash. Since doing that I have never lost connection.
