    Falls lake

Was thinking about trying it out tomorrow for the first time with a buddy of mine..never been there and it's a little bit of a drive for us so I wanted to see if anyone had fished it lately and let me know how the bite is at the moment

Bet it was. Heard there was a big tourney there as if the virus means nothing.

Good eye Ted, that's why you are the man. I would have never noticed that if you hadn't pointed that out.

The fishing is pretty good. I have been four times the last 10 days. Fishing by myself I have caught 3-4 some days to 12-15 other days. Bite is changing and the fish are shallow. Sometimes a fast bait other times plastic. Try launching at the Hwy 50 ramp. Not very crowded. Middle lake seems to be the best bite. Have been fishing the middle of the afternoon mostly.

Went last Wed afternoon and Thurs. Upper Barton Creek ramp was crowded but fairly orderly. Fishing the damn area points was slow but rewarding. Only caught one Wednesday but it was 6.8 pounds, best I've caught in a few years. Friday, caught 10 but nothing over 2.5 pounds. Temps 57 in mornings, warming to 61-63 in afternoon. My son caught a 9.2 two weeks ago, his partner, a few days later, caught a 7.4.

Seemed to me like fish were just moving up. Next few weeks should be very good as the migration shallow gets good.

Doesn’t have to be like that, it was actually well organized and precautions taken. Everyone weighed their fish and left, no groups hanging around I was impressed. I would be concerned more about people going to the grocery store than 2 guys on a boat at the lake.
