I use heat shrink tubing. Feels a little illegal rolling a stack of Senkos over a candle.

This is so much easier than heat shrink and you can do it on the water quickly

G7 makes a silicone tube that works better than anything I've seen and I throw a lot of Neko rigs.

    TW has them.

I bought some silicon tube from Amazon for $8 for 10' and cut it up. Even cheaper.

Try them. They are way better than o-rings or heat shrink.

Great video I have been doing that for years. I also pinch the rubber tubing and drill a small hole through the tubing for the hook to slide through.

Nice, I haven't done that yet. I've just been using the hook to pop a hole for wacky rigging. For neko rigs I just go under the ring.

We're on the same page, that's what I did in the link above.

I wonder if clear vinyl will work also, it's a little cheaper

Might work, but it won't stretch like silicone

Great post. I’ve been doing this for a few years. The key for me is thin wall tubing, 10’ is a few life time supplies worth so I go to a local craft store that has a ton of tubing in really thin wall that is sold by the foot. I bought 3’ a few years ago and still have over a foot left. This also works for skirt building.

It won't stretch, get silicone instead.

That should last you a lifetime. LOL. I still have at east 8' left. If you Texas Rig, you can also use it at the top of the baits so it doesn't rip. -Mike

I have bought the tool and the tubing cut up already from a tackle shop for about as much as you paid for all your items but the only difference is I only got about 10 pcs of tubing!!
I just ordered the rolls from Amazon and will have enough for generations to come lol. Awesome tip right here !!!!!
