Would this tubing not work on the standard o-ring tool to put it on the worm? Not sure why you need the spreading tool if it will just slide over the regular o-ring tool.

That tool I reference is a must IMO. The O-rings roll off, these will not role.

I've been doing this for years with clear vinyl tubing. It's practically free, invisible and indestructible, just use your needledick plyers to open them slightly before sliding your worm in.

This! Dollar store has pack of very small ties in red, black, white, blue. Colors sem to act as additional atractant. Also adjustable to size of bait.

Stretching that type of tubing is not necessary. Insert the tail end of the Senko a little ways into the tubing ring and pull on both ends of the Senko like a Slinky to reduce the thickness of the Senko to pass through the tubing ring. A small hole created on the tubing ring can be made using a belt hole puncher to permit perpendicular placement of the hook.

These things are great !! I rarely use the O rings anymore !! I used to loose baits to fish that would steal them and just leave me the O ring, but not anymore !! I love 'em !!

Here's a trick to add weight your wacky senkos. This is 1.25" of .062 dia rosen core solder. This gives about 1/64 oz to your senko. I use nail weights too but they tear up the senko after a few fish.

The larger diameter solder is too hard to bend like that and the small stuff you use for motherboards and such is too small and doesn't weigh enough to do anything. I like this size for my 5" prosenkos (the skinny ones) and for my 4" regular senkos that need just a little faster drop. It doesn't drop too fast that it interferes with the senko action or make it bend unnaturally. In fact, I think it makes it shimmy just a tad better.

any sources for "colored" silicon tubes in the same sizes? They are available in 3mm for fly tying, but yet to find them in the sizes recommended.

Any one tried spray silicone on the tool to make the tubing slide off?
