    Would this tubing not work on the standard o-ring tool to put it on the worm? Not sure why you need the spreading tool if it will just slide over the regular o-ring tool.

    That tool I reference is a must IMO. The O-rings roll off, these will not role.

    I've been doing this for years with clear vinyl tubing. It's practically free, invisible and indestructible, just use your needledick plyers to open them slightly before sliding your worm in.
