    300 hpdi guys

    Popped another intake gasket. Kudos to Matt Moore at Moore marine and hydrotec. When hydrotec rebuilt my powerhead and put the phase kit on last summer they used wsm gasket material and it failed. They warranties it and took care of me again. Got me going again...

    So how does it run after the phase kit was put in , did you change the pistons ?

    Yes new pistons with a full rebuild. Haven't run it since the lower unit mods were done last fall. Lots of other work around carpet, clear coat, just got it all together. First time out this spring and popped another set of intake gaskets.

    I had one that would blow those gaskets every winter. I checked the hoses that hook to the bottom of the plate and they were stopped up and not letting the water drain. It would freeze and push gaskets out. Cleaned out hoses and magically no more gaskets blowing.
