250 ProXS 2 stroke-what battery are you running? (cranking)

I have read the FAQ on batteries, but just curious what everyone is running? I have been using an Interstate 27m-xhd but not really happy with it. What are you running that you are happy with?

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info (serial number) when posting. Thanks!

The Batteries Plus X2 (31 AGM) is a beast. Same battery is available through Northstar and several others. Always going to weigh in at about 76# with roughly 1150-1160 CCA.

Northstar here as well. Identical performance and warranty as Odyssey. Have an 8yr old PM-1 (made by Odyssey) that still passes load test and maintains 12.6v static charge. Replaced it 2yrs ago because I wanted "peace of mind" when I'm 35mi from the marina.

Is this the same battery as the PM-1? Kind of looks like it!

The PM-1 was an Odyssey 31M-PC2150 in a different case with Sears name.

Thanks for all the advice, Looks like I will be replacing my Interstate 27M-XHD with the Napa 31 1125A.

Curious Leon, why would this not be adequate for a trolling motor battery?

It will not provide good life when repeatedly deep cycled due to types of materials used in the plates
