    Thinking of swapping to Yamaha

    Thinking of swamping to a Yamaha

    Hello all, I am thinking of buying a 2015 skeeter with a 2015 225 SHO with 275 hours. I have always ran a mercury but I am tired of fixing it ever other week. I don’t really know anything about the SHO’S so any info would be greatly appreciate. I know there’s good and bad ones in all of them but is there anything I should look for or stay away from? What are some of the known issues with these motors? Can most of the repairs be done yourself if you where to have some issues? What’s the ideal RPM range to run? And if anything was to happen can these 4 stroke power heads be rebuild like a 2 stroke can? ( I’ve heard they can’t so please shed some light on this). Thanks for any advice

    Hey, you might want to post on the Yamaha page since this one is for yahama that tuned by Simons. You’ll get more hits there unless this SHO has been flashed. Good luck.
