    Trolling motor/ Tracker 175 TX

What length shaft of trolling motor do you guys have on boat? Would prefer a MinnKoa Maxxum 24 volt setup .

I'm running the 70# Maxxum 24V with 52" shaft on my PT190. It works well for me. IMO the 42" would be too short in waves.

I have the PT190 but regularly fish from my friend's PT175 and they both ride high at the bow. We both have 45" TMs (My Ulterra and his stock Minn Kota). 45" is adequate in calm water but any chop and they both chop the water. 52-54" would be ideal. Unfortunately my Ulterra was only offered in 45" & 60".

I've had my 45in shaft 80lb ultrex on my PT175 for a couple years now and I've never felt like I needed it to be any longer. Even in 20+ sustained winds and good chop on our trip up in Canada last year the motor held and never had a problem. For me, I think the height of the longer shaft would get in the way up front. Especially in really shallow water. Just something to consider.

45'' is more than adequate on a 175TX.

I have a 42-45 in shaft from my totaled boat. Will have to measure the motor again.

I put the 70# 52" maxxum on my tracker 175 txw. It came with a 45" length motor. As some have stated the 42" will be short in choppy water.

Thanks for the info. Going to stick with the Terrnova that came with boat for this season, see how that works for me . May take it off, put a new Maxxum on next year .
