    1500 ld 2019 chevy

So a dealership here has some stupid deals on the LD model from 2019 (new old stock)

I am assuming it has the 4l60e trans instead of the 8 speed from the specs.

Does anyone have one and have thoughts on the model?

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD is the third-generation 2018 Silverado that was originally launched in 2014. It has been rebranded as a “light-duty” model and remains on sale alongside the other 2019 Silverados, which received a redesign for the fourth generation.
The 2019 Silverado 1500 LD is basically the same vehicle as the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 and competes against light-duty work trucks like the Ford F-150 XLT. The Silverado 1500 LD is built on GM’s K2 platform.

The 1500 Chevy/GMC and the Ford F-150 are light duty trucks. (1/2 ton trucks) They will work, but it will depend a lot on what size and weight your boat is and how steep the ramps are where you fish. I've had Chevy's and Fords but they came with the heaver duty transmissions and were 4-wheel drive also. I have a 2009 Navigator now and it has a Tow package that boosts the ability to function very well. I'd check on those you're looking at to see if any of them has a tow package.

The article posted in #2 says it has the 6 speed. I have a 2018 and the only think I don't like is the 8 speed. It tows my boat great, drives great and can get over 20mpg running empty on the highway. If they are making you a good deal on one and you like the truck, go for it.

I've been driving LD Silverados since 1998. They have been bought new. LS, LT, Z71 models, extended cab with the 5.3L Vortec engine, HD tow package. All have served me well. The last a 2005 Z71 was totaled with 198,000 miles on it. If it had not been totaled I feel I would still be driving it today. I have a 2015 LT, 5.3L, AllStar package, tow package, with 98,000 on it. No problems, or complaints, all have tow a bassboat with no problems. Towed my daughters house hold goods, dual axle U-haul, back from Big Fork, Mt to Boston, MA. No problem.

When towing I've been known to slow down when I see the speedo at 80+, or my wife starts yelling at me.

Do you like it? It will pull your boat just fine as I have a 2019. I thought about color matching my boat, if it would pull it, etc... At the end of the day it is my daily driver and 99% of the time it does that so I chose what I wanted and did not consider my boat as any full size truck will pull it.

Highly doubt it's the 4l60e since I don't think anything since 2010 or so (around there) had one. Most likely it's the 6L80, but possibly the 8l90.

    You would be correct.

It's a deal I can't pass up so I am going tomorrow night to try and finalize it.

next question red, white, or grey?

    I am leaning towards red.

Gray, it hides the dirt almost as good as white.

What is a good deal on that model? Without a trade in, which can skew the final. You can say....like...under 37,000 or something.

    Presuming, how many doors?
