One could also put a 150 SHO on it and flash the ECM to a 200. This is simple to do on a SHO but not recommended on a 4s Mercury.

I had a dealer price one for me with a 175, Fortrex 80, Helix 9 with 360 on bow and Helix 9 SI at console and it was $51k with a single axle trailer. That just seems to be a bit high to me. I really like all the Caymas boats but at the prices I’m seeing I will have to really think it over.

You are having it rigged out pretty nice but to me its about $2k to much, but they do appear to be nice, well built boats. Did the factory guys say what speeds they are test running with the 175?

If they have shut down the factory per virus concerns there may not be any out there yet! I can't believe the Caymas management team doesn't know their testing numbers. You know dang well they have ran one with a 175 during R & D because they ran one with a 200.

I talked to someone from Caymas but he was real vague on the numbers. He said conservatively mid 60s, that doesn’t tell me much.

Cajunhunter yeah with a 200 and all options I could see it being around 50k but not with a 175.

I know BassCat has that special on the PII w/a 200 for $49k so using that for reference and this boat is 18’6” and the PII 19’1” I think.

The PII package is $49,995. It is 19'1" with 2 - 7" graphs at the console, 1 at the bow, 80# Ultrex. The PII is pretty quick to 70.

Sounds like someone might be able to hang with me in almost same size boat. Closest so far is a margay. I’m still looking for someone to come out with a 17ft with a 150 that will still run 75. The old raycraft sadly won’t last forever. But I’m gonna make her last as long as I can

I have the 18' GTS (175 Merc). On a full tank of gas, loaded with gear, mild chop on water, I have hit 58 mph. No way will it ever run 70 mph.

Wow, 58 is all? Have you changed anything to try and get more out of it?

Nope, straight from the factory. I don't have a need to go any faster. Only reason I hit 58 was trying to beat a lighting storm back to the dock. Most the time, motor is off and using trolling motor. :-)
