    CX 18 GTS

How come the specs say the CX 18 GTS HP range is 175hp but the picture shows a 200hp ?

Just heard through the grapevine that they may only rate the 18 up to 175. I think that is a marketing mistake. If that turns out to be true then I will be looking at something else.

I agree. I have my eye on one of the new Mercury V8's.

Fiberglass - Caymas CX 18 GTS

    Aluminum - Avid 19 XB

It's going to be a tough choice with all the new boats coming out. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on one of the "V" boats.

I want to see some real numbers on the 18 with the 175 before I mark it off the list. Hopefully in the next couple of months we’ll know.

The Coast Guard tag on the boat says 175. At least that’s what I see on the website.

I heard the 200 was pushing it near 80 and hard to drive so they backed it down.

I heard at a dealership today with a 200 it was pushing 78. That's extremely fast aeapecially for a 200.

Well that sounds good to me. I hope they leave it rated for a 200. If they don’t I’ll really have to see what true numbers it gets with a 175 before I make a decision.

78 was the exact number I heard and it was from one of the caymas guys. I guess they could still change their minds but I was told it would be 175 rated. If a 200 is pushing it that fast then a 175 is still gonna be smoking.

If it will run over 70 with a 175 then I may still be interested dependent on where the price comes in compared to the 19’ model when it comes out this summer.

I definitely agree. A 175 should push it into the 70's if a 200 is pushing it 78. Very impressive numbers.
