They have put concrete barriers across the access points at Elephant Butte Lake with Rangers on guard, at least that's how it was an hour ago. This is applies to all NM State Parks.
So you can't launch your boat, or just access to the camp grounds?

They have the barricades at the entrances of the park with a ranger guarding it. No entrance to the State Park. This just sucks.
hey dean, have you driven down to the damn site ? since it's not owned by the state parks so i would be curious to see if you could launch there.

Mark, how have you been? The wind has been blowing with some rain in between so it has given me time for some projects. I haven't driven to Dam Site yet but I understand you can fish from shore, not sure about launching a boat but I will check it out when I drive over there.
everything is as well as can be expected with all that's going on. I had them do a 300 hour service on the Yamaha recently so i'm ready to go. I sure do miss clint. i'm going to call you soon to catch up.

Mark, you wont believe it but I have been fishing your grub, the last 3 fish came on it. A 3+, 2 and a squeaker black. That was before the park got closed. First fish of the year. Dam site is allowing shore fishing from that end of the lake, I haven't been down there yet as I am focused on getting some projects completed while the State Park is off limits.
Everything still open here boating wise. Although pueblo res isn’t going to extend the hours like planned April 1st. Shitty for night fishing but I’m glad they are still open. Need some nice weather for once. 43.5-46.5 degree water isn’t my strong suit
