My 2020 625 SHO combo with the same set up ran 81.5 at 5800 rpm at WOT 1-person ,poles,112 ultrex with 4 lead 31 batterys,30 gallons gas,full tackle & the bass seats on the deck.and 78.5-79 2-people & wells full.I have heard the 650s are faster than the 625s but I do not have first hand knowlege that is the case.

Thanks for the details GWK, those seem like real world expectations of these boats with the motors not being touched so to speak.
I cant see how a foot longer (650 vs 625) , 200 plus lbs heavier equals faster?
I can. The 650 must be better balanced side/side and bow/stern with the setback from the factory. Wish I had a 625, no doubt it would be a mid 80s rig with proper setup.

The whole 625 hull weight thing is mind boggling to me. 625 has always been listed as 1400...then all of sudden
..1400 is not correct. Hull weighs 1600.
The explanation I received didnt make a lick of sense.
I can’t disagree with the explanation that was said, a little confused why they would leave the website stating the same weight for years if it isn’t in fact 1400 lbs. The only way the 625’s with dual poles, 36 v TM system, with graphs, 2 guys and a full load will ever run mid 80’s(83-86) will be if you have either a flashed Sho/or Merc 300 4s and lithium batteries. That is something im trying to get to but it’s not gonna be easy.
The 625 has always weighed in between 1400-1550lbs depending on how well the resin was worked out of the layup. Plus, very few hulls are ever weighed to begin with.
Greg Enlow and I both had new 202s built in 2011 and were in production right behind each other. Keith weighed both hulls for us and Greg's was right at 1250lbs and mine was 1275lbs.
Just wondering...other than the early TR21s (Tr21vsTr20, and I'm not even positive about that one)...what hulls have been faster a foot longer? Only 20 vs 21.
I think mid 80s with two people and fishing load won't happen but one person tournament loaded is possible. Granted it'll take playing with different setbacks, heights, many different props, moving weight around the boat in different compartments, and even crawling under the boat to make sure the pad is true and sharp. All stuff I did with my 202 back in the day and it was the fastest with a 225 promax that I know of. I tried in excess of 75 different props. It takes time but to truly maximize a setup it's a must.
My Bravo is a 28 XS, I have been fishing way more than trying to air it out so I don't have any new numbers yet. Hopefully I will get to do that after this weekend's tournament...
Mid 80s is certainly doable with a Flash SHO or 300R based off what mine and other 625s that I have done that I set up. I have set up two stock SHO/625 combos that both would run 84 with two people and full load without power poles.
There ya go. I would assume poles are worth 2mph.
I think you could take a 625/300R combo and make it run 90 with two people and a load.

Good info guys! I know simons has a flash(up to 325 hp) for the new merc v8’s that may help get the 625 to those numbers. Mine will always have dual poles and tournament equipment. Mine also has a ultrex 36v, mega 360 with a helix 12 at the bow that probably doesn’t help weight or wind resistance at all. Saw 76.5 with two guys and full tournament load the other day. Going to try a 27 tempest with blades thinned, B&B with cup added soon. With lithiums I hope to get it to run 78-79 fully loaded and 80-81 light load. If and when the warranty runs out on the motor that flash should get it to 81-83 fully loaded. Someone claimed it took a 21’ Phoenix from 70 to 75
Oh and to table off of Chads thoughts on trying other things(setback, working the pad, etc) I believe he’s 100% correct. This is exactly how the bullet, Allison, stroker boys get the most out of their boats. They keep tweaking them until they’re 100%. I’ll try extending the setback eventually on mine as well if I can’t get the prop to get me were I want to be(for now) lol.
It takes a lot of time, effort, and knowledge to get a boat to run to its potential along with great driving skills.
ihave an 18 628 with a verado 250 running a 28 bravo 1xs 2people 30 gallons fuel full lives wells 76.6 solo was 78.7 with some left in her motor was still in break in only have 4 hours on a new powerhead. goiing to lake leon tomorrow will post some numbers for yall
